A’IBOM GOVT. TO REHABILITATE COLLAPSED UYO-IKOT ABASI ROAD | Ibomplaza News

………Akwa Ibom State Government has indicated it readiness to rehabilitate the collapsed portion of Uyo-Ikot Abasi road at Ikot Ebak, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area to alleviate the suffering of commuters.

The State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel gave the indication while addressing worshippers during the sixteenth annual convention of The Apostolic Mount Olive Church held at the church International Headquarters, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.

Governor Emmanuel reiterated his commitment to serve Akwa Ibom people with sincerity of purpose, hinting that he has commenced discussions with contractors to take advantage of the dry season and fix the failed portion of Ikot Ebak, Uyo-Ikot Abasi road.

His words: “I want to say this on behalf of my family and my entire EXCO, trust me, I love my state and I love my people and I serve this state with all sincerity of purpose. God who sees the heart knows that we serve this state without withholding anything and whatsoever we can do we will continue to do.

Referring to the Uyo-Ikot Abasi road, the Governor said, “take for example this road that I drove through today, on my way here, I called one of the contractors, that I cannot just allow this road because of politics. It is affecting Akwa Ibom people more than any other group of persons.

“There is no how people elsewhere could do this without the support of the people of Akwa Ibom State. We will try to fix the road now that it is not raining again”, Emmanuel assured.

He called on the people to remain committed in their support to his administration, assuring that the lofty programmes of his administration would be realised in no distant time .

The Governor thanked God for his grace upon the church and took out time to appreciate the church for earnestly praying for the success of his government and prayed for the growth of the church.

Preaching on the theme of the event, “The Days of His Glory” drawn from Isaiah 40:5, Archbishop John Praise Daniel, admonished that God has the power to perform whatsoever he has spoken.

The Abuja-based Cleric declared that no matter how small the beginning of any human venture may be, God can greatly increase the later end of it, adding that the later end of the Apostolic Mount Olive Church and Akwa Ibom people shall increase .
