I, my family and other medical and healthcare delivery practitioners, in the State join the rest of the World, to salute His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel, and the good People of Akwa Ibom State for the unprecedented medical renaissance, we have seen in our dear State within five years in office courtesy of a visionary governor.
As part of this year’s anniversary, despite being hit seriously by the novel global COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen the evidence of true leadership and pro activeness with the launching and opening of the 300 bed capacity Isolation Center and Molecular Research facility at Methodist General Hospital, Ituk Mbang, Uruan Local Government Area to curtail the negative impact of the global pandemic and further enhance efficient, effective and sustainable healthcare delivery in the State.
This world class Medical and Scientific research centre and other well equipped medical facilities in the state have written your name in the Sand of time, as one of the great leaders in the world, who understands the rudiments and essence of democratic governance.
With these and many other facilities coming on stream, Akwa Ibombites, are truly assured and convinced that we have a governor, who is forward looking, and always thinking ahead, at all time. Indeed COVID-19, met Akwa Ibom State, well prepared, and proactive.
