ELECTION POSTPONEMENT: Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert (OBA) speaks.
………………My dear people of Uyo Senatorial District let me express my profound gratitude for the love and support I have enjoyed from you so far.
After a successful campaigns which took us to all the 94 wards of our Senatorial District for the first time in the history of our Senatorial District, we are hopeful and convinced about the position of Uyo Senatorial District to sustain their effective and loud voice in the senate come 2019.
Now that in the wisdom of INEC elections across the country has been shifted , I urge you to remain resolute and peaceful so as to allow for the perfection of its plan to ensure a hitch free, peaceful , transparent, credible, free and fair elections where our votes must count.
The survival of our democracy through a peaceful conduct in the coming elections is paramount . Your desire to elect your representatives across board must also be respected .
I believe that the unity of our country must never be compromised instead we must strive to sustain the peace in our country to guarantee a better leadership and future for our people.
I trust that come Feb 23, we will all come out to vote , wait and protect the votes as well as ensure your votes count.
As for me I vow on my honour that I will remain committed, devoted and passionate towards the interest of our Senatorial District and Akwa Ibom State now and always.
