………….Governor Udom Emmanuel has broken all barriers to turn Akwa Ibom into a Premier state among its contemporaries in Nigeria.
This the Governor has achieved using all development parameters including industrialization, Security, human power development and other landmark strides such as good network of roads that are springing up everywhere in the state from Uyo the capital city into the hinterland.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh who made this known while on a Planet Radio 101.1FM Live interactive programme, Akwa Ibom Mandate said, this a great testimony of the impactful leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Charles Udoh said, the Governor’s commitment in turning Akwa Ibom into a preferred destination is becoming a reality when it is judged from the number of notable groups and organizations flying into the State for Conferences and Retreats such as the recently concluded SGF/SSGs 2nd Quarterly Retreat held at the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort.
He said Governor Udom is not playing politics with development projects that is the reason behind the accolades and applause he is receiving on all the Foreign Direct Investment, FDI, he has attracted to the state, adding that members of the House of Representatives who were on a tour of Akwa Ibom State recently said, the Metering Factory in the State is the best in Nigeria.
Udoh reiterated that, for a man who has climbed up to the position of a Chief Financial Manager in one of the top three Banks in Nigeria, Zenith Bank, Governor Udom is an asset to the state and even Nigeria at large, disclosing that, his cognitive financial expertise, integrity, wealth of experience as well as his total reverence to God make him a much sort after Governor by the Federal Government on issues bordering on business and financial matters.
“With such a man as the Governor of the State, then one should know that his integrity and wealth of experience comes to play when handling development matters and welfare issues concerning the people”, the Information Boss said.
On criticism from some quarters that the factories in the state are not functional, the Commissioner expressed displeasure at the negative attitude of some indigenes who rather than take advantage of the opportunities at the companies to better their lots, sit back in aimless criticism while indigenes of our neighboring states are fast registering and signing on as distributors and suppliers.
He further frowned at the situated where instead of applauding the Governor for digitizing and computerizing the General Hospital, Ikono, some disgruntled elements sit back to peddle falsehood against the hospital reiterating that, Governor Udom Emmanuel is in the process of computerizing and networking all secondary health institutions in the State towards easy access to patients’ data and enhanced healthcare delivery.
The Information Boss reiterated the resolve of the Governor to make Akwa Ibom State a preferred destination to tourists and investors, in addition to turning the state into the Food basket of Nigeria with the numerous agricultural programmes in place and urged all to join burry their rivalry and political difference to join hands with Governor Emmanuel in the development of the state.
