………………The serene community of Edeobom 1 in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, today Saturday 2nd June 2018, was agog with people from all walks of life who converged on Comprehensive Secondary School Grounds Edeobom 1 to pay their last respect to the deceased 9th International President, Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, MMI, and Obong Nkaiso of Nsit Nation, and Senoir Special Assistant to the governor on Tourism Development Late Monday Jimmy Etokakpan, FCIL, JP, as his remains were laid to rest.

Governor Emmanuel who paid glowing tributes to the late Monday Etokakpan, in his magnanimity, adopted the deceased children, assuring them of support in their academic aspiration and announced plans to construct the Afaha Offiong – Edeobom – Enen Nsit road as well as build a Hall of Fame at Mboho Unity School, Uyo, to immortalise the departed Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio President.

Among the sympathisers were ; Akwa Ibom State Governor, Akparawa (Mr) Udom Emmanuel, his Deputy Mr Moses Ekpo, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Hon Onofiok Luke, State PDP Chairman, Akparawa (Obong) Paul Ekpo, PDP National Legal Adviser Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, Senator for Uyo Senatorial District, Akparawa (Senator) Bassey Albert, former Governor Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga,

Others were Members of the State Executive council, Personal Aides to the Governor, ALGON Chairman and Chairman of Eket L.G.A., Rt. Hon. Frank Achiborng, Chairman of Nsit Ibom, Hon. Eric Akpan, former Deputy Governor Noble Lady Valerie Ebe, Distinguished Senators Anietie Okon and Senator Effiong Bob, Etinan Federal Constituency House of Representatives member Hon Sam Ikon, Justice of the Federal High Court, Justice Ita Mbaba, Air Vice Marshal Nsikak Eduok Rtd., House of Assembly Members, Others Local Government Council Chairmen, Members of Ati Annang, Afe Iwaad Ekid, Esup Ulaap Oro, Titled Chiefs, Traditional and Religious Leaders; the roll call was endless.
