IN THE NEWS: Senator OBA inaugurates Campaign organization
*Champions Gov Udom Emmanuel’s re-election in Uyo Senatorial District
- …….The Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo) Senatorial District and Chair Senate Committee on Gas, Obong Bassey Albert (OBA) on Monday 30th July, 2018 in Uyo inaugurated his campaign structure named Akwa Ubokabasi Campaign organization that will work assiduously for the re-election of Gov Udom Emmanuel and himself come 2019 .
Senator OBA noted ” We have to work assiduously for the re-election of Gov Udom Emmanuel who has performed very well in the midst of the dwindling resources to the State for the greater interest of Uyo Senatorial District”. OBA added that he is politics for service so that he can do greater good for more people of the District.
Also speaking at the inauguration ,the Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority, Hon Enobong ”Hammer’ ‘Uwah thanked the Senator for the deep interest he has shown in serving his people stressing that OBA will never disappoint his people ‘Uwah used the opportunity to thank God for the recent Supreme Court victory for the Senator and described it as victory for the people.
The Director General of the Campaign organization, Hon Imoh Okon who is also the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government area in his acceptance speech on behalf of the other Members thanked the Senator for the opportunity to serve and assured him that they will do the needful to deliver Gov Udom Emmanuel and Senator Bassey Albert (OBA) come 2019 while adhering to the electoral guidelines as set out by INEC.
Members of the campaign structure are drawn from all the nine LGAs of the District and the inauguration was was well attended.
