……………Governor Udom Emmanuel has been acknowledged the world over as a visionary and performing leader.
This underscored the invitation of Governor Udom Emmanuel to address the world at an occasion organized recently by the Commonwealth Business Forum in London.
Speaking on a Live Planet 101.1FM programme, Akwa Ibom Mandate recently, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh said, the sterling quality of Governor Udom Emmanuel in corporate Business and Financial management over the years have positive impact on the outstanding performance and landmark strides of the Governor in the state as recognized not only in Nigeria but across the global.
The Information Boss said, the world recognition of Governor Udom Emmanuel is highly commendable although the Governor himself does not seek applause adding that the Governor has had to turn down so many invitations extended to him for Awards by different reputable groups and organizations across the world which have been overwhelmed and mystified by Governor Emmanuel’s unparalleled performance.
Charles Udoh stated that the sterling performance of Governor Udom Emmanuel which has reflected on the sectoral achievements of the State government within the past 30 months is a strong pointer to the commitment of the Governor towards making Akwa Ibom the number one economic-base of Nigeria and a destination for investors and tourists.
He urged all Akwa Ibomites to join hands with the Governor who the world acknowledges as a visionary and performing leader to build a strong, united and socio-economic viable state, especially with the highbrow companies so far attracted to the state through Foreign Direct Investment such as the Fertilizer blending plant, the digital electric metering plant, the Jubilee Syringe, the largest in Africa, the revamped Peacock paints, the Toothpick and Pencil factories as well as those still loading such as the Flour mill, the ethanol plant, the coconut oil refinery and the plastic factory, among others.
The Information Boss ended by asking how many states in the country are running free medicare for pregnant women, children within the age bracket of 0-5years and the elderly; how many states are running free basic education for children from Primary to Senior secondary school level, how many states have constructed over 1700km with 35 bridges within the past 30 months and how many states in Nigeria have attracted over 5 functional factories to their people within the past 30 months?
- “All these are strong pointers to the fact that, Governor Udom Emmanuel is a people-oriented and visionary leader whose sterling performance has been acknowledged all-round the world”, Charles Udoh emphasized.
