INFO BOSS NAILS ALLEGATIONS OF DEFECTION PLANS BY GOV UDOM EMMANUEL
…SAYS THE GOV IS A MAN OF PRINCIPLES
……………Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh, has nailed all allegations peddled on the social media by different groups and self-serving individuals on the purported planned defection to APC by Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Speaking as a Guest on a Live interactive Planet 101.1FM Radio programme, the Umbrella Show, the Commissioner for Information said, Governor Udom Emmanuel is too principled to jump ship as many others describing the Governor as a trust worthy and credible man who cannot speak from both sides of his tongue.
Udoh went further to emphasize that, Governor Emmanuel values and places premium on his integrity and will not allow political maneuvers to taint his image which he spent years to build in the corporate world before his foray into public service.
“For a man who has worked to the position of a Chief Financial Officer in Zenith Bank, one of the high flying financial institutions in Nigeria, his integrity cannot be taken for granted. He is trusted with money and enormous capacity. And again, for Akwa Ibom State to be rated as the second best in Nigeria on Foreign Direct Investment, FDI, then Investors must have trusted the integrity of the Governor before sinking huge foreign currency into their investments in the state”, the Information Boss said.
On the Freezing of Akwa Ibom State Government Accounts that made news recently, the Information Boss reiterated that the government accounts were truly frozen on the orders of the EFCC without any prior notice or court summons and were only unfreeze following the directives of the Vice Present adding that the counter reaction on the issue by EFCC was merely a face-saving defense by the Commission.
Addressing the Ibom Deep Sea Port, IDSP, project, Udoh said, work on the project is on the final stage on paper adding that, work on the super highway leading to the seaport is ongoing while tender for bid has already been made public for legitimate and qualified bidders.
He affirmed that Akwa Ibom State was actually shot-changed the sum of N6.7 Billion from the Federation Accounts as reported by the media without explanations from the Federal Government, stating that Governor Udom Emmanuel has been able to keep governance of the state afloat because of his enormous capacity and leadership creativity.
