PARTICIPATION OF YOUTHS IN VOTER’S REGISTRATION IS TO SECURE OUR FUTURE & DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE.

……….The Chairman of AKS Youth Caucus, Mr. Aniefiok Iwaudofia has charged the youths to participate effectively in the ongoing voter’s registration in their various local government areas with a view to securing our future & democratic governance.
According to the youth leader, the significance of the registration is to ensure that the youths exercise their franchise in the NEXT ELECTION TO GUARANTEE & CONSOLIDATE ON DEMOCRATIC DIVIDENDS SO THAT THE NEXT GENERATION WILL INHERIT AN INDUSTRIALIZED STATE WHERE JOB OPPORTUNITIES ARE CREATED FOR THE PEOPLE.
He made this assertion over the weekend during an interactive session with some selected Community Youth Leaders & the State Publicity Secretary of AKS Youth Caucus in attendance.
Mr. Iwaudofia used the forum to properly educate that, the Akwa Ibom State Youth Caucus is not revolutionary or resistant army, but a coalition of youth leaders with definite goals of supporting the government through strategic sensitization & mobilization to ensure the encouragement & continuity of good governance as demonstrated by our leader, His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel in the past three years of his administration.
The SA ( Youth Matters ) said, the youth organization is a veritable & functional platform where the voices & aspirations of the politically conscious youths are articulated, projected & managed in Akwa Ibom State political system. Therefore, it is a leadership pool of young minds with great potentials. According to him, the group is a creation & creature of the youth system to enhance group theory, aggregate & integrate the interest of the youths in politics & governance.
Mr. Iwaudofia advanced that, “Youth Caucus is not a tool in the hands of political class to unleash political vendetta, resurgence & brigandage but strategic partners in state development, dependable instrument for peace building & community policing.
As recently reconstituted, the youth Caucus under the leadership of Mr. Aniefiok Iwaudofia, comprises of youth leaders with reformed mindedness, mental aptitude, integrity & new vision for the betterment of the society. As a matter of fact, since the introduction of Akwa Ibom Youth Prayer Conference, which is organised by the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, there is a paradigm shift & new generational identity in the perception of an average Akwa Ibom youth. Today, by God’s grace, youths have systematically disengaged from social vices & menaces, which are all products of degenerated belief system.
The youths dynamism through the prism of Dakkada have ventured into various meaningful engagements like skill acquisition, cooperative, enterprise & educational pursuits to make a difference in life. The new methodology is part of the structural functional approaches adopted to strengthen the system with men of strategic thinking, resourcefulness & capacity to successfully drive political economy & also live sustainable life through self reliance.
