PHOTO NEWS: CHILDREN OF DIVINE HOME EDUCATIONALLY KITTED FOR NEW SESSION

……………..Over Two Hundred Children of Divine Home Atan Ofot, Uyo have been educationally equipped for the new academic session by the wife of Akwa Ibom State governor, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel.
At the event tagged “Back To School 3 in Orange September”, the educational materials included exercise books, textbooks, school bags, school boxes, uniforms, sandals , toiletries etc.
Mrs. Emmanuel in her remarks, said though it’s been a challenging year with paucity of funds, she will not relent in her commitment towards the children’s welfare, adding that in as much she has sent her biological children to school, she had to replicate same to them.
The First Lady charged the children to study hard in the new academic session and be obedient to their teachers, caregivers and most importantly reverence God.
She further admonished the children not to indulge in acts that could smear their future, but should focus on their studies in order to come out successful at the end of the session.
Mrs. Emmanuel rewarded few students of the Home who excelled in the last academic session, and as well presented empowerment items to Seven children of the Home who graduated from different vocational trainings.
Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of the Home, Mrs. Imeh Inyang in appreciation poured encoumiums on the governor’s wife for her benevolence and magnanimity towards the children and staff of the home, praying God to reward her labour of love.
Goodwill messages from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Bureau of Cooperative and Rural Development, Mrs. Ekemini Umoh, Wife of member representing Uyo State Constituency in the State House, Mrs. Joyful Eyo, and Wife of Education Commissioner, Mrs. Emma Inyang all appreciated Mrs. Emmanuel for being a mother to the children at this point in their lives.
They thanked the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for his fatherly role and support towards ensuring that every Akwa Ibom child live a better life and asked God to sustain him.
Special songs rendition, cultural dance, choreography display by the children thrilled the audience to which the governor’s wife danced along with the children. Special anniversary cake was cut by the governor’s wife with the help of a cross section of the children to mark FEYReP at two.
Divine Children’s Home is a foster home of the governor’s wife which is managed by her Pet-project, Family Empowerment and Youth Ro-orientation Path-Initiative (FEYReP).
