……………………..The wife of Akwa Ibom State governor, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel has commiserated with the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Onofiok Luke and wife, Uduak over the demise of her mother, Late Deaconess Cicilia Udoakpan who departed the world at the age of 55years.

She gave the message of Condolence when she led other Akwa Ibom women on a condolence visit to the bereaved family on Wednesday evening.

In her Condolence, Mrs. Emmanuel sympathized with the family over their loss, urging them to take solace in the fact that she lived a memorable life and has gone to rest with her creator.

She noted that the deceased was a good woman who trained the speaker’s wife to become the model woman that she is, asking the bereaved to be courageous at this trying moment.

Mrs. Emmanuel led the women in prayer to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Earlier, welcoming the governor’s wife, the speaker’s Wife, Dr. Uduak Luke thanked the governor’s wife for her love, care and support towards the family in ensuring that the burial is successful, praying that God will reward her labour of love.

Also in his remarks and vote of thanks, the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Onofiok Luke thanked Mrs. Emmanuel for leading Akwa Ibom women on a condolence visit, adding that it has shown and demonstrated her love for his family.

He posited that his family appreciates the show of love and support during their moment of grief, and as well prayed for their safety in the years ahead.
