PHOTO NEWS: I SURETY FOR ONUK, HE WILL NOT FAIL ITU PEOPLE

……………….The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Special Duties, Hon.Akan Okon has described the PDP Chairmanship Flagbearer for Itu, Barr.Etetim Onuk as an embodiment of vast potential needed to move Itu LGA forward. He gave this indication while addressing newsmen at the Campaign flagoff of the PDP held at the LGA Hqrts in Mbak.
Being a seasoned professional, the Housing and Special duties Boss stated that he had learnt over the years how to identify potential in any individual and that Onuk being a seasoned lawyer also operates a successful business that employs people. He lauded Onuk’s wealth of experience and expressed optimism that he will bring such acumen to bear in the administration of Itu LGA.
Hon. Akan Okon pledged his support for Onuk and further stated that he had no reservations standing as a surety for him. He assured itu people that Barr.Onuk will not fail in the task ahead of him.
The mammoth crowd that attended the campaign flag off he said was testament to the fact that PDP was rooted in Itu LGA, a clear indication that come 2nd December 2017, PDP would record a landslide victory in the area. Furthermore he stated the turn out showed the level of unity and cooperation existing among the people of Itu and their strong believe in the ability of the PDP to deliver.
Hon.Akan Okon was taken aback by claims that violence was earlier feared to erupt at the flagoff, stating that Itu was a peaceful LGA and as such violence of any sort was a figment of the imagination of misguided elements. The successful hosting of the event he pointed out was a prove of the peace loving nature of Itu people.
Itu people he maintained were happy with the leadership style of his Excellency the Governor considering what obtains in other states. He lauded the Governor for the superior deliverables of his administration despite the prevailing economic situation of the country.
He cited the Governor’s industralisation drive, determination to embark on capital intensive projects despite the cash crunch, prompt payment of salaries, pensions and payment of fees for school children as some of the reasons the pejople are pleased with him. 
Furthermore he gave the assurance that Itu was in support of the Governor’s 2nd term bid and would return him 100% come 2019
