As Akwa Ibom people anxiously await the end of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) era in the state come 2023, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-eyen, candidate for Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District under the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), has assured that Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, CON, will build a state of our collective dreams as Governor.

Akparawa Inyang-Eyen, the immediate past Chief of Staff to Governor Udom Emmanuel said Senator Albert is sufficiently experienced and exposed to meet the needs of Akwa Ibom in leading the people to a more glorious heights.

The YPP senatorial candidate, who spoke recently at the Old Eket Stadium, when he presented himself to the people of Eket Senatorial District as their best choice, called on them to vote Senator Albert for governor and all the candidates of the Progressives Party (YPP).

He described Senator OBA as someone appointed and prepared by God to take the state out of lack and underdevelopment that the present PDP led government has caused.

According to him, “God has chosen YPP, despite human machinations against it, as the vehicle with which the next government of the state would emerge for the rebuilding of desolate places in Akwa Ibom State.

“I have come to announce to Akwa Ibom people that the Lord has chosen the YPP for the rebuilding of desolate places in Akwa Ibom State. He has chosen his servant, Obong Bassey Albert for as a message to change the story of the people for good,” he said.

While informing the people of his candidacy in the Eket Senatorial race, Akparawa Inyang-eyen, whose records as Commissioner for Works and Fire Service in Emmanuel’s government, are sterling and unbroken, urged the people to select men of capacity, competence and those with the grace of God to represent them effectively in the various offices.

He declared that time for the Senatorial District to speak clearly and in one accord to unify the area and put it in a position to achieve good democratic dividends is now.

Lamenting the rather ineptitude in the area’s recent legislative representation, the Onna born politician, told them that with him in the Red Chamber, no longer will their voices be muted, no longer will they produce without eating, no longer will they be laughed at.

“It’s the Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District that lays the golden egg, but there is nothing to show for it. We will be out of poor and ineffective representation. We will have a new phase of representation,” Mr. Inyang-eyen said, charging them to vote for YPP in the coming general elections for the best of governance in Akwa Ibom State.

He charged Akwa Ibomites at home and diaspora to support and rally round the ranking Senator to become the next Governor in 2023, describing him as, “One man who has been a voice in the Senate; who was revered by a governor of his state as the only Senator representing the whole Akwa Ibom; who has influenced so many laws of international, national, state and local importance, chairing very serious Senate Committees of Gas, Petroleum (Upstream), and resolving conflicts between major stakeholders in the oil sector.

“He has offered scholarships to 481 Akwa Ibomites; trained physically challenged people numbering 520, giving them basic tools to start their various vocations; touching the lives of every Akwa Ibom person in one way or the other; and he is someone who is loved and respected by Akwa Ibom people.
