Akwa savings & Loans: Court Dismisses Case Against Senator Ibok Essien | Ibomplaza News
……The Federal High Court of Nigeria sitting in Uyo on Wednesday dismissed the Suit filed against the Proprietor of Ritman College, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien over alleged N150m debt.
The Suit No. FHC/UY/CS/135/19 between Akwa Savings & Loans Limited and Ritman College of Agriculture, Science and Management Studies was earlier today dismissed by the Court for lacking merit.
The bank had applied for the withdrawal of the case as earlier filed against the Proprietor of Ritman College of Agriculture, Science and Management Studies Limited, but the Presiding Judge maintained that all the necessary formalities for the case has been filed by the respondents be duly followed. He therefore dismissed the case, thereby allowing Institution to continue in the smooth running as usual.
Recall that Akwa Savings and Loans Limited had filed a suit against Ritman College of Agriculture, Science and Management Studies over debts it obtained. The bank prayed the Federal High Court, Uyo Judicial Division, that “Ritman College of Agriculture, Science and Management Studies Limited be winded up.
However, the case met its deadlock today as it was dismissed by the Federal High Court.
