BREAKING NEWS: 2019 NSIT IBOM STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY HOPEFUL IS DEAD.
……………..Ahead of the 2019 primaries for the People Democratic Party the aspirant of the House of Assembly and International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Akparawa (Elder) Monday Etokakpan, JP is dead. Etokakpan, according to a family source who does not want to be named in this report, died on Wednesday after a surgery at Ibom Specialist Hospital, Itam.
According to the source who spoke to pressmen, says that Etokakpan was in coma after the surgery. All efforts to stabilize him proved abortive as he died in the early hours of Wednesday.
Akparawa Etokakpan, was Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel and was set to run for the office of Member Representing Nsit Ibom State Constituency at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly come 2019.
His tenure as the 9th International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio (MMI) was on the verge of elapsing with election for a new executive scheduled to hold in June 2018. He was sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State as the International President of the foremost socio-cultural group in September 2014 after taking over from Akparawa Nse Ubeh.
