…As party and stakeholders endorses Gov. Udom Emmanuel 2nd term bid.
…………….Ahead of 2019, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and Stakeholders from Mbiaso ward 2 in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area has joined the league of groups in Akwa Ibom to declare support for the Governor Udom Emmanuel -led administration, while endorsing support for the governor, for a second term in office, come 2019.
This was the general position in an interactive session during the mbiaso ward 2 PDP expanded executive meeting on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 at Mbiokporo II, Nsit Ibom L G A the country home town of a former state PDP Secretary Otuekong Anietie Ekong.
Speaking at the occasion, the host of the meeting and former State PDP Secretary Otuekong Anietie Ekong said that the party and the stakeholders were on a new month meeting, adding that the meeting afforded them the opportunity to discuss issues concerning the ward and the state as well as resolutions. 
The former state secretary of PDP who was also the Chairman conference of state secretaries in Nigeria noted that while numerous states are finding it difficult to pay salaries, pensions and run the affairs of their states, the God fearing, focused leadership of Akwa Ibom has surmounted such challenges, stressing that the visionary leadership of the governor has prompted the ward to identify with and endorse the governor for a second term.
While calling on the stakeholders and the entire nine wards party structure across the local government to key in to the vision of supporting the governor beyond 2019, Ekong mentioned that he had already passed a vote of confidence on the executive chairman of Nsit Ibom L G A, Hon. Eric Akpan for his quality of service rendered to the people at the grassroots, pledging the ward resolve to support his administration. 
Also speaking, the former supervisor for Education in the local government and now the Secretary Uyo Club, Hon. Macurley Udom, commended Otuekong Anietie Ekong for hosting the meeting and called it timely.
Hon. Udom expressed his appreciation for the party ward executives and stakeholders for endorsing Gov second term bid and assured the people that there will never regret the decision they have made today. 
Another speaker at the occasion, a former director with the Independent National Electoral Commission, Abuja, Mr. Anniema Sampson Akpan said that him and his colleagues who decamped from All Progressives Congress party were so happy that PDP has given them the needed reception and opportunity to be a bonefide member of the party. 
Mr. Akpan recalled that it was not easy with them including Anietie Ekong himself who rejected another candidate from Eket Senatorial District for APC in 2019 in one of the meetings then of which we said instead of new person let it Gov Udom Emmanuel, because we know the devastating impact this will have in our politic which may leads to tenure elongation of Eket Senatorial District as governor.
” In fact, I don’t want to go into details, but seeing what the party and stakeholders have done here today by endorsing Gov Udom for second term come 2019, I it’s very good decision “, Mr. Anniema asserted. 
This view of thanking the party and stakeholders for endorsing Gov Emmanuel for second term was collaborated by the Councilor Representing the good people of Mbiaso ward 2 at the Council, Hon. Uduak Ubom, who described Gov Udom Emmanuel as a man who has been tested and trusted in governing the state and pledge total readiness to mobilize the people of the ward for Gov Udom come 2019.
” we have seen with keen interest the efforts of Otuekong Anietie Ekong in the ward since his return to the party and I want to thank him for hosting this particular meeting “, Hon. Ubom said.
The ward Chairman of the party and the convener of the meeting, Mr. Mkpoikanke Jack, the Governor has made the party proud since his assumption of office in 2019 till date. 
He said Gov Udom Emmanuel remained the best governor in Nigeria with his commitment for industrializing the state, adding that from the look of things the governor has the capacity and what it’s takes to govern the 21st century state of Akwa Ibom. 
In the high point of the meeting was the endorsement of Governor Udom Emmanuel for second term come 2019 in the manner as follows:
Party Youth Leader moved the motion and was seconded by , Mrs. Anniema Okoh, financial secretary, women leader, Hon. Tony Eshiet for elders and was presided over by the ward Chairman.
