ONOFIOK LUKE: LET THIS RESURRECTION BRING HOPE AND COURAGE AT EASTER
…….This year’s Easter is marked at a moment when the world is faced with a crisis occasioned by the outbreak of COVID-19. But as children of God, we must find assurance in our Father’s promise that rather than be consumed, we will be delivered from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence of this world.
My prayer therefore is that as humanity is humbled by the current global crisis, we will manage to find confidence in the abundance of hope and good tidings that Easter represents. I am hopeful that we will not be so fretful that we forget or doubt the awesome power of our God.
I have no doubt that this Easter will renew our faith in our most solid foundation which is Christ, and will bring hope to our families and love for one another, so that we become better as our brothers’ keepers and loving carers for the frail and vulnerable among us.
