………………………..Akwa Ibom State governor’s wife and founder Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path-Initiative (FEYReP), Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel says her nongovernmental platform remains committed to partnering with well-meaning organizations to better the lots of Akwa Ibom people.
The governor’s wife stated this Wednesday, when she inaugurated two bedroom bungalows built by her pet project in partnership with FEYReP Ambassadors International and Friends of Martha Organization for widows in Ikot Ekpene and Abak LGAs respectively.
At the events, Mrs. Emmanuel who appreciated God for His grace to positively impact lives in the state within just two years, also appreciated her partners for their contributions towards providing homes to the hitherto homeless widows.
She specifically thanked the Grand Patron of FEYReP Ambassadors International , Rt. Hon. Nsikak Ekong and the President of Friends of Martha organization, Mrs. Inyang for supporting and identifying with her vision, calling on other well spirited individuals and organizations to join hands with her to improve lives at the grassroots.
To the beneficiary widows, Mrs. Emmanuel prayed that they would live long to enjoy their new homes, positing that God has not forgotten them even in her twilight. She also encouraged them to hold fast on God’s word for sustenance.
Welcoming Mrs. Emmanuel to Ikot Ekpene local government area, the Transition chairman Mr. David Umanah thanked the governor’s wife for her humane disposition through her pet project which he averred has provided succor to many. He prayed God to fortify her with more grace to do more in years ahead.
In their separate remarks, the Grand Patron of FEYReP Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Nsikak Ekong, and wife Helen, who also is the international president of the group thanked the governor’s wife for providing succor to the people of the state through her life-touching projects, pointing out that her passion and love for the vulnerable in the society is evident for all to see.
Goodwill messages from the Hon. Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Udo Essien, Chairman Ibom Power Company, Engr. Etido Inyang , SSA on SDGs to the Governor, Mr. Elijah Udoiyak , as well as party stalwarts appreciated Mrs. Emmanuel for her lofty visions and impactful programmes in the state in the state through her pet project.
In their separate appreciations, the beneficiaries, Madam Hossana Offiong from Utu Ikot Ekpeyong village, Ikot Ekpene and Madam Lucy Jackson from Ibagwa , Abak recounted how they once lived in tattered houses and thanked God for the administration of Mr. Udom Emmanuel and wife Martha for being God sent by providing homes for them.
At Abak local government area Mrs. Emmanuel was welcomed by the Transition Chairman,Barr. Emmanuel Udosen, former commissioner for information in the state, Mr Aniekan Umanah with other stakeholders who lauded the social interventions of the governor’s wife through her pet project, promising to partner her to do more.
They declared their supports to the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel, saying that he has performed creditably well, hence, deserves a reelection in 2019.
As part of the events, Mrs. Emmanuel gave out wrappers and cash gifts to a cross section of women from the areas.
