………………As part of measures towards achieving results and set-goals for maximum productivity, AKS Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh in a spontaneous show of surprise, presented laptops and computer printers to 6 staff of the Ministry today.

The Information Commissioner while presenting the work tools to the staff said, the laptops and computer printers are to enhance effective and efficient delivery of official assignments and workloads of the benefitting staff during and after official hours both in the office and at home.

He said the gesture which will be continuous is also a means of rewarding hardwork, dedication and passion for duties by distinguishing staff who have exhibited resilience, commitment and perseverance in the course of discharging their duties since his assumption of office as the Commissioner  in-charge of Ministry of Information and Strategy.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Pastor Praise Okon had acknowledged the excellent  working principles of the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh geared at high performance and productivity, describing him as a goal and result-oriented leader.

He said since Charles Udoh came on board as the State Information Chief Executive, he has continued to provide good working environment for staff through the provision of work tools and other incentives as well as institute the Best Information Officer/Staff Award, among others geared at enhanced performance and productivity.

Among the staff presented with the Laptops and Computer Printers included: the Director of Information, Comfort Umana, Director of Strategy, Mrs. Grace Akpan and Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Ifiok Ibanga. Others are: a Chief Information Officer in the Ministry, Aniekan Ukpong, a Principal Graphic Artist, Nsikan Ekwere as well as an Assistant Chief Executive Information Officer, Idris Mabadeje.

Responding on behalf of the recipients of the laptops and Computer Printers, the Director of Information, Comfort Umana expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for the magnanimous gesture, reiterating that, the gesture is a booster to inspire them to even do more and pledged the staff continued dedication and commitment to duties.

Present at the occasion were; the MD of Akwa Ibom Newspapers Corporation, Umoette Umoette, Media Aide to the Governor, Essien Ndueso and Aide to the Governor on ICT, Solomon Eyo, among others.
