PRESENTING THE PROFILE OF PRINCESS HILDA OKON
CROWN QUEEN, AKWA IBOM GOT STYLE BEAUTY PAGEANT
……………PRINCESS HILDA OKON was born on the 22nd day of December 1993 to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Asukwo Okon of Atabong-Okobo in Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
She read Information Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Yola – Adamawa State. A movie director/actress, singer and cook, she is an industrious woman per excellence with rare qualities that stands her out among equals.
PRINCESS HILDA OKON was crowned QUEEN, AKWA IBOM GOT STYLE BEAUTY PAGEANT 2017/2018 at the Le’ Meridian Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo – Akwa Ibom State.
As part of her humanitarian services as Queen, she founded PHILKON FOUNDATION, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and Non-Profit Human Capacity Development Foundation, devoted to educate the Girl-Child, the Boy-Child and empower the needy, teenage single mothers and their children, giving them a new lease of life and hope for a better tomorrow. These, the NGO will achieve through viable skills and helping them identify the key changes that they need to ensure a stable future for themselves.
PHILKON FOUNDATION is embarking on various initiatives and programmes with the sole objective of adding values to the lives of the youths in Akwa Ibom State through education, empowerment and opportunities to succeed and create positive impact in the state.
The NGO recognizes the diversity amongst our youths based on class, education, morals, etc., and tends to unite these categories of people through civic education, trainings, seminars, workshops and a viable entertainment platform that will not just empower them but also instill in them the rich cultural values and societal ethics and put food on their table. It also identifies with the developmental aspirations of government at all levels, through objective analysis and proffering solutions to development initiatives by way of collaboration and partnership.
PRINCESS HILDA OKON, in a bid to expand the frontiers of her musical career, recently released a musical video of the song, title AKWA IBOM ARISE! The song is an anthem which tells the story of Akwa Ibom State and her people and it is proposed to be used as the Akwa Ibom State Anthem.
PRINCESS HILDA OKON is poised to make a difference in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria through her NGO – PHILKON FOUNDATION and she needs the collaboration of corporate organizations and support of all well-meaning individuals in the state and beyond.
We are determined to serve this course with great passion and commitment to make a difference, a statement that is reverberating in the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
