PROMISE MADE AND DELIVERED: A Review of Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel’s Achievements in the Health Sector.
……….Records has shown that in less than Three years in office, lives has been saved due to the total rehabilitation of the health sector by Governor Udom Emmanuel’s led administration.
Governor Udom has rehabilitated, construction and upgrading of Secondary healthcare facilities across the state to include the dilapidated Ikono General Hospital that laid wasted for over 40years (Computerized). General Hospital, Ikot Okoro, General Hospital Etinan, Immanuel Hospital Eket, General Hospital Ituk Mbang, which has been upgraded to a digital and fully automated hospital, the first in the History of Akwa Ibom State.
The present government provide Relief for about 4,000 mal-nourished children, Free screening and treatment of about 15,000 people for various eye disease.
Over 100 containers of State-of-the art medical equipment has been delivered to strengthen Primary and Secondary Healthcare facilities that provides people with free medical services for children below 5 years, pregnant women and the aged in the State. And complementing his efforts in establishing the Syringe Manufacturing Factory (Largest in Africa).
Truly, the Health sector in Akwa Ibom State has witnessed a tremendous improvement in the last three years.
