………….When in October 2017, Akwa United FC returned to the State with the AITEO Cup after a 3-2 victory against Niger Tornadoes, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh who received the team at the Akwa Ibom International Airport had clearly stated that, the success of the Uyo-based FC was tied to the commitment and profound support of sports development in the state by Governor Udom Emmanuel.
I know you are in total agreement with me that Akwa United resilience and hardwork which manifested in the winning of the prestigious Aiteo Cup was to reciprocate the magnanimous gesture of Governor Udom Emmanuel in investment in the Club.
